Cincinnati Chili
One way to make your Ohio husband happy:
Cincinnati Chili
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1 can tomato paste
4 cups water
1 jar tomato sauce
3 tsp garlic, minced
3 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp cayenne
2 tsp kosher salt
2 tbl Worcestershire sauce
1 tbl apple cider vinegar
Spaghetti noodles
Shredded cheese topping
Method:
Put your paste in first and add your water. let her heat up and smell tomatoey.
Then, on the real tip, I put every thing and let it cook on low heat for like 2 hours.
Cook the noodles to your liking.
Garnish with cheese.
If I'm being honest, I have never made a pasta dish like this. To me, this is an abomination. However, I did try it and it did taste wonderful! I love allspice in ground beef dishes, immediately makes me think of Swedish meatballs. Plus, my husband, who is an Ohio native loved it, so.....for love!
