Roasted Chicken in a Dutch Oven
One way to roast a whole chicken
Ingredients:
a whole chicken
bread hunks (about three pieces)
veggies of your choosing
( I used carrots and green beans)
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp minced garlic
4 tbsp butter
2 tsp thyme
1 tsp lemon juice
a dutch oven
Method:
Preheat the oven to 375
so you got your hunks of bread, put them and your veggies in the dutch oven
cover them in salt n peppa, 1 tsp of thyme, 1 tsp of minced garlic and your 2 tbsps of olive oil
give em a good toss
what you need to do is make a well with the bread and the veg, so that the whole chicken can sit in it
science!
next get all 4 of dem tbsps of butter all under that skin

rub your chicken all over with remaining olive oil and thyme
more salt n peppa to your liking
now, youre gonna cook her for one and a half hours. the first hour with the lid on and the last thirty minutes uncovered to get the skin nice and golden and crunchy.
let her rest at least 15 minutes then serve
