"Sorry, I clean with white vinegar."

Theres more than one way to skin a cat

One way to clean your house in a cost effecient way:

I clean everything with white vinegar. Sorry, my house smells like a pickle. It's clean though and it doesn't cost a FORTUNE.  In fact. it's less than three dollars a gallon.

                                                       white vinegar cleaning solution

you need a 12 oz spray bottle:

                                                        1/4 cup white vinegar
                                                        2-3 drops dish soap
                                                        hot water

While laying in bed, scrolling through my Instagram stories and pics, full of friends, relatives, and friends who have become hapless shills for mlm's,  I discovered something about myself. Something honest and true; I am frugal. I have never had high end tastes.  High hopes, yes, high blood pressure, definitely, but never high end.  I have always been a thrift store shopper, a dollar store shopper and a hand-me down wearer.
That being said:
My media feeds are saturated with oils. Purveyors of oils.
"Use oils to blah blah blah." "Put two drops of blahddity blah in your juice [insert stupid emoji here] for those mad mamma blues"
Cripes.
That shit I can get over.
I can't get over the fact that these companies are endorsing a product that does little more (smells better) than a simple cleaner, like white vinegar solution. I can't get with shaming someone for using a certain cleaner or wipe because its not "as green or as toxin free as it could be if you use 'this' product." I can't get with using a product because someone else does and wanting to mimic that persons lifestyle or aesthetic.
I certainly would never pay for a product that boasts unrealistic claims, for example:
"Thieves is highly anti-microbial . . . it could help against Ebola."
It certainly DOES NOT help against Ebola, get real.

Nah. Nah dude. At 46 bucks a bottle, you're not solving a cleaning problem, you're buying a high end product, that, in my opinion, does little more than smell lovely. I have had relatives buy me oils to use, and though I appreciate the gift, I simply cannot include them into my life routine.
Save yourself the financial worry and head out to your local dollar store for a nice, fat gallon of white vinegar and watch in amazement as you disinfect and sterilize most surfaces.

Edit:
I have also just used this extremely useful solution to remove highlighter from my velvet chairs.  I'd like to see some fifty dollar bottle of oil do that...
