Duncan Hines Chocolate Frosting (with Aldi's brand semi sweet morsels as garnish)
Now, this is a fairly large recipe, it makes about three cakes, so I chop it down when necessary. For today's Blackout Cake, I made 1/3 of the recipe, as I am testing out different cakes for my daughter's up coming 2nd birthday. For her actual birthday I will be making some buttercream frosting, when I find the dopest, easiest recipe for that I'll update. Unless I want to have a feral animal on my hands, I'll have to make my own frosting. It's been some time since I licked a spoon full of this pure concentrated chocolate, sugar sweetness known as packaged frosting, and lemme tell you, I immediately felt like Goldie Hawn in "Death becomes Her."
As an extra garnish, and the flair that gives it the nom nom name "Blackout Cake," I coated the edges in chocolate icing and rolled/smashed semi sweet morsels on to the side. It looks awesome, and I can tell you.....its fiiiirrreee.
